1:30 p.m. CRESTWOOD LEGISLATION –Dave McMillan, Manager Field Operations, DPWS, will discuss Public Act 96-0603,
which became effective August 24, 2009. This legislation requires owners/operators of CPWSs to maintain specific
documents,make those documents available for IEPA inspection during normal business hours, issue public notice within
5 days after receiving notice of enforcement or a seal order from IEPA, be able to provide documentation of said notice;
and creates both a civil penalty for violations and a Class 4 felony for those who make false or fraudulent statements.

Central County PWD; Patrick Presson, Maryville – This panel of distribution experts will discuss distribution procedures,

3:05 p.m. AGING WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & A LITTLE GIRL-THE SALMONELLA EPISODE AT ALAMOSA, COLORADO –
Don Anderson - Case history of the salmonella outbreak that resulted in at least 400 illnesses in March 2008. It was not
caused by hot peppers, peanuts, or pistachios – the culprit was an aging water infrastructure and a chlorine exemption for a
deep well system.
